The Events Industry Conference 2017 Scheduled to Hold September 14th – 17th

The Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) has announced that its first ever conference for event industry practitioners – The Events Industry Conference – is scheduled to hold between September 14th and 17th.

APPOEMN is an association with a mix of seasoned events professionals that have been at the forefront of the event industry in Nigeria for the past 15 years.
The conference themed ‘Proudly Nigerian…Setting Standards’ will bring together key professionals from across the country and a spectrum of events service providers, to share experiences, perspectives, insights and latest developments in the events industry.

September 14th
Events Masterclass
Time: 9AM | Registration begins 8AM
Venue: Naval Yard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos
Highlife Night 
Time: 6PM
Venue: Naval Yard Waterfront, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

September 15th
Seminar & Exhibition (Open to the Public)
Time: 9AM
Venue: Havilah Events Center, 34 Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road by City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos.
About 300 event professionals, government agencies and clients are expected to attend the seminar. Exhibitions will run concurrently throughout the day.
Keynote speakers include SSA to President Buhari (Foreign Affairs and Diaspora) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, CEO of EventfulYewande Zaccheus and Director General of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) Folarin Coker.
The roundtable session will follow after the seminar which will focus on moving the industry forward, standardization as well as current industry related issues.
The goal for this session is to provide event professionals/clients with an insight to the right way of doing business in Nigeria, educate them on industry expectations as a whole, create awareness of the industry related issues and possible solutions associated with them.

Venue: D’Venue by Cedarwood, Water Corporation Road, Off Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos.
A luxurious night of glitz and glam, a night where 41 awards will be presented to deserving vendors and generally appreciating ourselves and our industry.

Paddy, son of billionaire Nigerian businessman Mike Adenuga, took to his twitter page early today to address rumours influencing the bad things people have to say about him. There were indeed rumours that he fell out with his father - hence his relocation to the UK a while back and Paddy noted via his twitter page that although it's nice to have a wealthy father, that money belongs to the actual owner (Mike) and not him.
