Police shutdown venue of Bobrisky's 28th birthday party in Lekki

Bobrisky's 28th birthday party might not hold again today August 31st as policemen have shutdown the venue of the party scheduled to hold at an event center in Lekki. Police officers in various operational vehicles, stormed the venue and cordonned off the area this evening as the much talked about party was about to kick off. This development comes two days after Bobrisky dragged Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, who last week, said he is a National disgrace and will soon be dealt with by the government if caught on the street. A thief in Guinea who goes by the name, Boubacar Diallo congratulated the police for catching him in a video that is going viral on social media in the country. Diallo , a student at a technical college in Mamou, and his accomplice freely admitted having stolen 50m Guinean francs ($5,600; £4,160) from a phone shop in the northwestern city. In front of the cameras, Diallo called for more resources to be given to the police. In his words, 'the national police head office should be congratulated. I also want to say that the police needs equipment because it has well-trained officers'. JAMB Direct Entry Closes On September 15

Dr Fabian Benjamin, the head of media and information of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced that the Direct Entry e-Registration portal will be closed on September 15. This was announced on Friday, September 8, in an interview with newsmen in Abuja. He was also quoted as saying that there might be no postponement of the deadline. According to NAN, Dr Benjamin also advised JAMB candidates to re-upload their ‘O’ level results in the new portal as the previous portal did not allow for the capturing of candidates level of grades. He added that candidates should use the approved Computer Based Test (CBT) Centres for the exercise. Interestingly, the new portal has provided a platform for the detailed category of the West African Examination Result (WAEC) of candidates for proper placement.
